Developing and implementing an overall pricing strategy is a challenging task for every business, but doing so in uncertain economic times is even more of a challenge. What factors should be considered by a firm in determining how to price services? Today, more than any other time in our history, it is critical for businesses to understand their pricing practices and methods. This highly interactive, participatory workshop will cover the following topics:
· Understand your costs and how they affect your pricing strategy
· The difference between salary and profit for small business owners
· How much should you make for the work you do?
· Sources of revenue for Professional Event Planners
· Impact on earnings/profitability of commissions and mark-ups
· Create your unique pricing strategy

Being the Best You Can Be: Entrepreneurial Leadership Through Productivity and Business Planning
This three hour session will be comprised of two modules that will provide professional independent event planners/business owners with tools and an action plan to make their businesses more profitable, with less work and stress.
There's a type of stress people don't talk about: the stress of trying to act like somebody other than your true self. “Exploiting Your Natural Ability” will help you relieve this burden by showing you how to be free to be yourself. Identifying your “Natural Ability” will help you understand how you do your best work and why certain things come so easily to you while other things do not. You will learn to emphasize the things that come most naturally to you and stop fighting your natural instincts.
Thomas Edison said "Good fortune is what happens when opportunity meets with planning”. The second module, “Setting Goals and Creating a 90-Day Plan” will help you map out your course over the next 90 days. We'll reassess, strategize and focus on the quarter ahead. You will:

· Get focused on what is most important in your business right now and how to make it happen.
· Discover new ways to get your team to take responsibility and ownership of their roles IN the Business.... leaving you with more free time to work ON your Business.
· Set SMART goals -- Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Results-oriented and Time-bounded.
· Get specific on the details and how to achieve the goals & targets you’ve set.
· Leave with a personalized plan mapping out precise activities for the next 90 days in key areas of your business.
