Lori Wagner has been with Porter Airlines for 7 years and is the Manager of Groups, Conferences and Charters. In her sales role, Lori focuses on increasing Porter market share within the convention, incentive and sports travel markets by promoting Porter as the airline of choice for group, conference and charter business.
Prior to joining Porter, Lori developed the position of Regional Sales Manager for Travel Alberta and represented Alberta destinations, hotels and venues in the Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal meetings and incentive markets for three years. Her additional experience as a Hotel Corporate Sales Manager with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts for five years and as a Director of Sales with Westmont Hospitality for three years helped her gain a well-rounded understanding of the meetings industry from different perspectives.
Lori is a member of MPI and CSAE, and was on the board of the MPI Ottawa Chapter as Director of Monthly Programs for two years, as well as a variety of committees for industry organizations. Lori was awarded the MPI Ottawa Chapter Volunteer of the Year in 2010. As well, Lori has volunteered as a guest speaker at Ottawa’s Algonquin College for the Event Planning program, Humber College’s Sports Management program, facilitated a round table for MPI Ottawa and was an active panelist at MPI Toronto’s NMID in 2013 where Porter received the Influence Award.
She is the proud Mom of two amazing children and the co-owner of restaurant Steak & Sushi with her husband in Ottawa which keeps her busy! She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Social Work which she believes has helped her to have a better understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry.
