The President is an elected administrator and budget officer for the Society.

Barbara McRae

President Elect 2024/25, Interim VP Membership

The President Elect supports the President and the Board Executive roles.

Shaina Scrimgeour

Past President 2024/25

The Past President provides support, assistance and counsel to the President and Secretary Treasurer.

Angela Chorney

Secretary Treasurer 2024/26

The Secretary Treasurer is an elected administrator and budget officer for the Society with a two year term.

Janet O'Connell

Vice President, Events 2024/26

The Events portfolio is responsible to oversee the management of event logistics for all live and virtual events, including education and social events.

Michelle Planche

Vice President, Education 2024/26

The Education portfolio is responsible for planning educational events as well as programming for our Annual Conference.

Samantha Mele

Vice President, Marketing/ Communications 2024/25

The Marketing Portfolio expands the reach of CanSPEP to potential members as well as markets the efforts of the association.

Nalina Williams

Vice President, Partnership 2023/25

The Partnership Portfolio oversees partnership functions with a focus on In-Kind National and Event-Specific Partners. This portfolio will also assist as needed with the execution of all partner deliverables.

Join the CanSPEP Board of Directors as we continue our mission to engage and support members through the continued building of our industry.

To facilitate the preparation of the slate and to ensure that the process is open to all members, the Nominating Committee is now issuing a Call for Applications.

CanSPEP’s governance model is volunteer driven and a strong Board helps to ensure the consistent, high quality programs and services that CanSPEP members have come to expect.
