CanSPEP Board of Directors

To hold a Board position, it is mandatory that members must also have held either board or committee experience over the course of their membership.

Nomination Process: Nominations to the Board of Directors must include a nominator, a seconder, as well as a brief biography of the person you are nominating.  Full nominations criteria can be found here.

The President is an elected administrator and budget officer for the Society.

The President Elect supports the President and the Board Executive roles.

The Past President provides support, assistance and counsel to the President and Secretary Treasurer.




Angela Chorney

Secretary Treasurer 2024/26

The Secretary Treasurer is an elected administrator and budget officer for the Society with a two year term.


Janet O'Connell

Vice President, Events 2024/26

The Events portfolio is responsible to oversee the management of event logistics for all live and virtual events, including education and social events.


Michelle Planche

Vice President, Education 2024/26

The Education portfolio is responsible for planning educational events as well as programming for our Annual Conference.




Samantha Mele

Vice President, Marketing/ Communications 2024/25

The Marketing Portfolio expands the reach of CanSPEP to potential members as well as markets the efforts of the association.


Nalina Williams

Vice President, Partnership 2023/25

The Membership Portfolio connects with members and helps potential members join CanSPEP.
