Full Member (Voting)
$30 + HST monthlyTo obtain a Full Membership, the applicant must be self-employed as an event entrepreneur or the owner of an event management firm with 15 or fewer employees. Full membership includes the right to vote, and eligibility to hold a position on the Board of Directors and Committees. The applicant must agree to abide by CanSPEP's Professional Principles.
Associate Member (Voting)
$147.50 + HST annually
To obtain an Associate Membership, the applicant must be an employee of a self-employed Event Planner who holds a Full Membership in CanSPEP. Membership includes the right to vote, and eligibility to hold a position on the Board of Directors and Committees. The applicant must agree to abide by CanSPEP’s Professional Principles.Student Member (Non-Voting)
$25.00 + HST annually
To obtain a Student Membership, the applicant must be a current full-time student in a recognized post-secondary academic institution & enrolled in a program that relates to the meetings/events industry. The applicant must provide proof of their enrollment. Membership does not include a right to vote or a position on the Board of Directors. The applicant must agree to abide by CanSPEP’s Professional Principles.
Faculty Member (Voting)
$147.50 + HST annually
To obtain a Faculty Member Membership, the applicant must be employed as full-time faculty at a recognized post-secondary academic institution, teaching in a program that relates to the meeting and events industry. Faculty Members are eligible to vote and to hold a position on committees. They are not eligible to hold a position on the Board of Directors. The applicant must agree to abide by CanSPEP’s Professional Principles.
Retired Member (Non-Voting)
$50 + HST for two years
A retired member shall be an Entrepreneurial Event Planner who has now ceased working full- time but is still active in the Society/industry on a volunteer basis. The member has been a CanSPEP member in good standing for a minimum of 5 years, and their business is no longer operating. Retired members are entitled to attend meetings, educational days, conference, etc. at member rates. Retired members can also sit as members of committees but do not have voting privileges.
