  Workshop 1:  Prospecting and Sales - Finding Your Next Client with AI: A Hands-On Workshop

  CanSPEP is presenting an AI workshop series geared toward the independent planner.  Independent planners carry a stack of jobs that take longer than they should, starting with writing the proposal, finding the next client, and keeping the back office moving while the events run.

  We all know that AI can help with that, but exactly how to make that happen is the question.

  This serries of AI workshops, presented by CanSPEP will help in three critical areas to ensure your business succeeds.

  Each workshop is independently run, however if you complete all three workshops you will receive a certificate.

  Workshop 1:  Prospecting and Sales - Finding Your Next Client with AI: A Hands-On

  Prospecting is critical to the independent planner. The first hour of this workshop focuses on building the research and the prospect list, then the outreach that follows from it, with each member working their own target market.

  Members leave with: a target list built to their own criteria, a written prospecting procedure, and a drafted outreach sequence ready to send.

  Workshop 2:  Writing and Editing (date TBD)

  Members bring a document they actually have to produce, which for most of the room means a proposal, a scope note, or the business plan you never get to. The hour covers the follow-up questions that get a member to a proper first draft, then the editing pass that takes the machine voice out of it.

  Members leave with: a finished draft of the document they brought, the written editing procedure that produced it, and a short guide to their own writing voice that AI can use the next time.

  Workshop 2:  Business Administration (date TBD)

  Business Administration would focus on the back office every independent planner runs, which means the books, the money side, operations and hiring. AI content written for event planners tends to skip all of that, and it is a problem only an independent planner carries.

  Members leave with: A finished piece of their own work, the written procedure behind it, and the reference material AI needs to repeat it.

  How the workshops run:

  ●     Before the workshop: You spend an hour or two on a short pre-work brief and one worked example. The pre-work covers the AI basics you need to take part. Pre-work is sent ONE WEEK in advance and is at your leisure.

  ●     10:00-11:00am Trevor teaches the method and builds a target list and outreach live. This hour is recorded. Recording will be sent to participants.

  ●     11:00-12:00pm : You work in small groups on your own business, with Trevor in the room. This hour is not recorded, so you can use real client details.

  ●     After the workshop: You finish what you started and send it to Trevor, who replies in writing with feedback within 30 days post-workshop. Feedback provided within 10 business days.

  
  

  Speaker:  Trevor Sukraj, Founder, Trevor's Tech Talk

  Trevor Sookraj is the founder of Trevor's Tech Talk, an AI education company that teaches working professionals how to build practical AI skills that work in any tool or IT environment.

  Trevor started his career at Shopify in 2016 on the enterprise team, became the first growth hire at Clearbit (acquired by HubSpot), and founded Divisional, a marketplace for part-time growth talent that he scaled to seven-figure revenue with more than 70 clients. He has worked as an event planner with Exposoft Solutions, a 4-person PCO, deploying conferences across Canada and the USA. He is a Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient and has lectured on AI at Huron University, Colgate University, and the University of Guelph.

  Trevor teaches MPI Academy's AI-Enhanced Event Professional Certificate and has delivered AI training to event professionals at MPI chapters, association executives at ASAE and CSAE, and moving and logistics teams at UniGroup. His sessions range from 25-person executive workshops to 700-person keynotes.

  Come celebrate the Season of Kindness with your CanSPEP friends.

  Thanks to the generosity of our partners, we are able to expand this event to include a reception and luncheon.  

  We will be stuffing shelter kits with warm winter items (hats, mitts, scarves, socks) food items and hygiene products.

  Come lend a hand, enjoy a lunch, have some fun and help those less fortunate.

  As with last year, all registration fees will go toward purchasing the items for the shelter kits.  The more money we raise, the more shelter kits we can create. Please register to attend and help us maximize the number of shelter kits we can provide.
